Two nocturnal fey dancing in the moonlight. I really enjoy the light, movement and atmosphere in this painting, even though it was a quick one. Both characters are Indian moon moth (Actias Selene) fairies, one of the most beautiful insects to exist.
Thistle (forground) is my own character, while Celeste (midground) belongs to ~goldenpride Both these characters channel power from the moon, and have lunar designs, and since Thistle has a moth totem already, the wings of the moon moth was the obvious choice for Celeste as well. I am inspired to draw Thistle more often, she's very pretty to me. |
