(FULL VIEW to see the lynx cub!) A watercolor Art-Nouveau inspired peice. This is Eirelee, 's character. She's a princess that has a pet lynx! Lynx = My favorite land animal, so I couldn't leave him out, though he's still a kitten in this. :D

Very nice work!

Do you have any tips for drawing a seated position like that? I'd really like to draw that, but it's a bit tricky to make the legs look like they're going straight at a viewer.

This is gorgeous. I love that regal pose and the Mucha-esque throne. You're very skilled with watercolors. It all looks so neat! Your lineart is flawless.

Wow, look at that new Critique Preference thing. "Both critical and non-critical comments are welcome equally." Well, I'd better say something useful then. Hmmm... Well, I would've added some orange to the yellow to give it depth and for some contrast to the blue. The blue could also use some purple or green, depending on which direction you want to take it. Right now it looks a little flat, which may or may not be intentional, given that it's art nouveau. ^^*

Hm, I never turned that comment thing on *why is that there...???*, but whatever, any constructive comment is indeed welcome. I know the complimentary of the blue scheme is orange, but this character likes yellows and blues, and I decided not to muddy it's delicacy. Also this is art Nouveau, which is very flat and outliny by nature. Thanks for commenting. :D

You're really wonderful with natural media. I've always loved the art nouveau style (and wanted to try it) and you've done a really beautiful job!
